Belswains Primary School

Curriculum

At Belswains Primary School, we provide a carefully planned curriculum that is broad, balanced and designed to inspire every child. We believe learning should be exciting, creative and appropriately challenging, helping all pupils to grow in confidence and curiosity.

We enrich learning in every year group through a range of meaningful experiences. These include workshops in school, activities that make the most of our spacious and varied grounds, and opportunities beyond the classroom. Children take part in local walks linked to their learning, educational visits, and residential trips that help bring the curriculum to life.

We also value the importance of our local community. We actively build relationships with people and organisations around us, giving children the chance to learn from a wide range of knowledge, skills and experiences.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide variety of after-school clubs, regular sports fixtures, and many musical opportunities. We encourage all children to get involved, whatever their interests or abilities.

Use of AI

Our staff may use AI tools to support their work, for example when creating teaching resources or assisting with administrative tasks. Any information or materials produced using AI are always carefully checked and reviewed by staff before being shared with pupils.
