Jays Year 3
Class teacher: Miss Sears
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Kay
Welcome to Year 3
This year is a very exciting year as our children are joining KS2!
With our first topic, ‘Through the Ages’ we will rediscover prehistoric Britain from the Stone Age through to the Iron Age. We will learn about writing a short narrative, a fairy tale and a report.
In our second term’s topic, “Rocks, Relics and Rumbles”, we will journey to the centre of the Earth! We will learn about the layers of our planet, types of rocks formed and volcanic (tectonic) activity. Year 3 will be visiting the Natural History Museum in London for a fantastic day out!
Our final term’s topic, “Emperors and Empires” will take us back in time to the start of the Roman Empire. In this topic, the children will visit St Albans Verulamium Park to see the Roman ruins and museum! We will venture across the empire into Roman Britain, learning about how the Romans changed life in Britain forever.
Join us on our learning journey!
