• ICE-CREAM Our amazing PTA surprised everyone this week by organising an ice cream van to come to the school. Everyone received an ice-cream with all the trimmings, which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much!

• OPEN AFTERNOON This week we held our annual open afternoon and it was just wonderful to see so many parents and carers in attendance. Pupils were able to share and tell their loved ones about the work they had completed this year as well as visiting their next class to get a sneak peak at the work they will be completing next year.

• TAKE OVER DAY On Friday, we held take over day in which our Year 6’s led a celebration assembly, taught lessons and even did some site maintenance work. This is an amazing opportunity for them to try out different roles and gain some work experiences.

  Our students in Year 4 have been learning about Ancient Egyptians this term. They were set a homework project to create a model of an Ancient Egyptian artefact. Here are some of the fantastic models they have created and brought in to share with their classmates!

  

• Sports Day

  Well done to Longspring who lifted the 2023 Sports Day trophy! We were incredibly impressed with all of our athletes who truly demonstrated PRIDE. The weather just about held out and pupils were able to take part in a range of events including javelin, long jump and sprinting.

   

  

• PTA Uniform Shop

  Our PTA second hand uniform shop was officially opened this week by MP Sir Mike Penning. Thank you so much to our PTA for organizing this shop to support sustainability and our parents financially.

  
  On that note, we were kindly donated a number of pairs of trainers for pupils, if you are struggling to provide footwear for your child please speak to us.
